University or Patras SPECT system: We have developed a high resolution scintigraphic and SPECT prototype suitable for mice, rats and rabbits imaging, which is now installed at the Medical School of University of Patras. The system has a 10cm field of view (FOV) and is based on 4 PSPMTs, a pixilated CsI(Na) scintillator, FPGA electronics for DAQ and a custom made gantry. It's spatial resolution is ~2mm.
SPECT/PET/CT prototype: Our existing 2-head PET prototype, with a 5x5cm FOV is being upgraded to 5x10cm FOV and will be equipped with a X-ray system. The system will be combined with the existing SPECT system and will result to a SPECT/PET/CT protoype, which is unique on national and regional level.
Gamma probe: A gamma probe suitable for sentinel lymph node scanning has been designed and optimized in terms of sensitivity and resolution, using Monte Carlo simulations and is now beeing built.
