Professor
Graduate (1991) Department of Medical Instruments Technology School of Applied Technology, TEI of Athens and holds a Master's Degree (Masters) of Science in Bio-Medical Engineering and Medical Physics from the University of Aberdeen University, UK, 1993. He has graduate training in Technical Correction to Energy Systems g-camera and in 2008 a Ph.D. in the Department of Medical Physics, School of Medicine, University of Patras.
From 1993 to 2001 he worked in the technical support and service division of a company trading Imaging and Therapeutic medical equipment. After many installations and training in technical support of Medical Equipment arrived in 1998 the post of Head of Technical Support Systems in Nuclear Medicine, Lasers and Peritoneal Dialysis. At the same time from 1995 to 2000 he worked as Part-time Lecturer in the Department of Medical Instruments Technology, TEI of Athens where he taught laboratory courses Service and Readiness of Medical Equipment and Constructions.
From 2001 to September 2009 worked as a full time Lecturer in the Department of Medical Instruments Technology, TEI of Athens teaching laboratory courses Constructions I & II and Readiness and Maintenance of Medical Equipment. Since October 2009 working as a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Instruments Technology, TEI of Athens, teaching theory and lab courses Maintenance Quality Assurance of Biomedical Equipment and Methodology in the Design and Construction of Biomedical Devices. From October 2009 to November 2013, working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Instruments Technology, TEI of Athens, teaching theory and lab courses Maintenance Quality Assurance of Biomedical Equipment and Methodology in the Design and Construction of Biomedical Devices. From November 2013 until 2018 worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering T.E., TEI of Athens, teaching theory and lab courses Maintenance Quality Assurance of Biomedical Equipment, Optoelectronics and Medical Laser and Methodology in the Design and Construction of Biomedical Devices while today is a Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of West Attica, Greece.
His research interests cover the fields of: a) Evaluation of Phosphorus and single crystals for use in medical imaging, b) Electronic and mechanical engineering on the improvement of medical equipment, c) quality assurance for nuclear medicine imaging systems, d) Design protocols and maintenance of quantitative and qualitative checks in medical equipment, e) Collaboration with other departments in the TEI of Athens on a new imaging and diagnostic applications. Supervision and seeking graduate work on a related theme is a part of research interests.
