Professor of Biology and Physiology.

Diploma in Biology from the Department of Biology, University of Patras in 1981. DEA and Doctorate thesis in Animal Physiology, from the University Pierre & Marie Curie (Paris VI) in 1982 and 1984 respectively. During the period 1985-1998 she worked as a Researcher in the Department of Biochemistry at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute. Since 1998 she holds the position of Professor in the Department of Medical Instrumentation Technology, TEI Athens and that of Collaborating Researcher in the Department of Biochemistry at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute (group leader).

Her research interests are focused in the field of cellular and molecular oncology. More specifically her activities involve the study of heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) in in vitro and in vivo models of cancer cell invasion and metastasis respectively.
