Associate Professor
Dr. Kallergi received her B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Athens, Greece. She did her graduate work in France and the United States in the areas of Energy Physics, Applied Physics/Material Science, and Electrical Engineering. She holds two M.S. degrees and a Ph.D. degree, the latter in Physics & Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida (USF). She has also completed postdoctoral work in Diagnostic Radiology at the Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute and the Department of Radiology at USF and a graduate certificate in Management & Leadership at the USF School of Business. She was a faculty member of the USF Department of Radiology from 1993 to 2006 when she joined the faculty of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Technical Educational Institute of Athens and the Division of Nuclear Medicine of the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens. Dr. Kallergi's research interests include two- and three-dimensional medical digital detectors, quality control, and computer applications in medicine.
